John Deere purchased the Waterloo Gas Engine company in 1918 to take advantage of their Model N tractor. More than 8000 had been sold. Model N had a two speed transmission and developed 12/25 hp using a Kerosene engine with a 6.5x7 inch bore and stroke. Production continued until 1924 with 20,000 units sold.
