The Blue Angel Squadron is in town. Some streets are blocked from 12-5 PM, allowing the Angels and other aerial performers to practice. I couldn't get away, but it didn't stop me from climbing on our roof. The Angels fly right over our house and maneuver somewhere south of I-94. I have an excellent view. The sound was good too. I could clearly hear the General Electric F404-GE-402 turbofan engines whine, and the low pulsing throb of the air brakes.
I used my 500mm lens and the 70-300mm zoom lens. I photographed two practice sessions. I was up on the roof longer than I thought; getting sunburned in the process. Mom's cousin arrived that afternoon, so I watched the third session from the driveway with him.
