B-17G Flying Fortress "Aluminum Overcast"
July 19th & 20 (Tuesday & Wednesday) I toured this World War II bomber at the Fargo Air Museum. Tuesday I didn't have much time so I visited on my lunch hour. I met up with my friend Bob Nelson who was photographing the bomber's interior. It was very hot day. We cooled off inside the Air Museum where they were working on a Super Corsair. We took some photos before crossing the street for lunch.
Wednesday I arrived as the Air Museum opened. I stayed long enough to watch passengers board and the aircraft taxi to the runaway. I parked on the other side of 19th Avenue to photograph the bomber on take off. (Some descriptions are from Wikipedia.com)
