Four pairs of horse and one pair of mules are hitched to a turntable, which drives a transmission, which drives a belt, which powers a very old threshing machine. The crew use pitch forks to load the harvest into the threshing machine from a hay wagon. The harvest is loaded into bags, and the straw it forked to another machine for baling.
