Luther Room.
Under the leadership of Katharina von Bora the former monastery, now Luther's home develops into a meeting center of locals as well as foreign friends and acquaintances of Luther. Those who are persecuted because of their faith also find refuge here. At certain times up to forty persons including servants and students would dine around Luther's table. After the meals a smaller circle of interested minds meets for talks in Luther's study. Beginning in 1526 students take notes on these talks. After Luther's death these notes are edited and offered in print. Here you find the most varied topics dealt with from a broad range of perspectives. The table talks are an important source of Luther's everyday life and character.
