Narr: Stephanie is modeling a 1930s outfit. Between the 1920 and the 1930s the stock market crashed and so did hemlines. Hemlines went down and the 1930s the waist returned to normal so the waist actually went up. A lot of decorations that had been embroidered and beaded and burred not only got on the organza and organdy dresses that were printed, you had a lot more printed fabric vs the hand ornamentation. The buttons carried up a lot of details or little bullies that go down.
