Narr: On loan from Jackie Brightbach, a 1941 Wedding dress. From the 1940s to the 1950 there is very interesting silhouette. Sheryl with- 1930s wedding dress, this is a 1940s wedding dress, the 1950s wedding dress will show the three different silhouette that are happening. The very clinging leftover from the 20s its very form fitting very soft. In the 1930s you not only start off with almost like a triangle resting on its apex with a lot attention is above the waist. By end of the 30s you have a lot of attention below the waist- as far as the skirt- before war rationing. In the 1940s you still have this beautiful draped skirt that will become fuller and bell shaped with layers of tool in the 1950s. In the 1940s (starting in the 30s) you get almost a backless look, where you have a much higher neck and fitted jacket would be partially backless..
