Green Tree Python (Morelia viridian) are bright yellow, burgundy or brick red when they are born and will change green during the first 2 years of their life. They have heat sensoy pits along their lips which help them find their prey. When a warm-blooded or cold-blooded animal comes close, they can sense the temperature change and grab the animal. Green tree pythons have long fang-like teeth which help them catch their prey. They are able to catch a bird in flight from a tree. They are the most arboreal snake in the python family.
