Bactrian Camel (Camelus bactrianus), the two hump species, comes from China and Mongolia. This camel is adapted for cold in the winter (as cold as 40 degrees below zero!) and hot summers where they shed their coats to adapt. The sole of their feet is extra tough and their two toes spread wide apart to make walking through the sand and on the rocks easier.
