Victor got out his .22 rifle. It kept jamming. Then he got a spent shell stuck in the chamber. I was hoping one or both of us did not get shot as he fiddled around trying to get it out with a pen knife.
There was a live bullet in the chamber and Victor was swinging the gun around as he tried to dislodge it. I tried to keep out of the way. Finally it just fell out. Vic still managed to jam it a couple more times but at least he didnÕt get a spent shell stuck in there too. The main issue, was the trigger pull was too hard. Vic and I were shooting at cut birch tree branches. The hard pull made it difficult to keep the barrel steady. I did get a couple shells on target. I kept telling Victor, ÒYou werenÕt even close.Ó
Every time the gun would jam, he would have to empty it out. Half the time all the shells fell on the ground and I would have to crawl around to pick them up. .22 shells are not very big.
