Karon points out the features of the John Meidinger home. She tells us how proud John was of his car, "He would wipe it down after church, put it in the garage, and then cover it. He wouldn't let you in the car with dirty shoes." John was stern man with a leather strap hanging on the wall, but Karon said, "I never saw him get angry." I asked about his English skills.
"He spoke English just fine."
