NDSU vs ETSU 27 to 3 FCS Quarterfinal Game. NDSU won the coin toss and deferred. First Quarter The Eastern Tennesse (ETSU) 'Buccaneers' drive stalled after six plays. The NDSU 'Bison' did no better; stalling after seven plays. ETSU went Three-and-Out. NDSU went from their 39 to the Buc's 39; then punted. ETSU was able to move the ball on this drive, but missed a 55-yard field goal. Second Quarter NDSU brought in QB #02 Quincy Patterson to run some downs and this allowed the 'Bison' to score first with a 3-yard TD by RB #22 TaMerik Williams. NDSU went for 2, and failed. ETSU went Three-and-Out. NDSU QB #07 Cam Miller threw passes of 31 6 and 16 yards. RB #04 Kobe Johnson and RB #21 Jalen Bussey ran on the ground. Williams scored another TD from 7 yards out. ETSU stalled at their own 41. NDSU ran Bussey and Johnson until the clock ran out on the half. Third Quarter Williams had a 18-yard run for NDSU but a penalty and incomplete pass stalled the drive at their 42. ETSU went Three-and-Out. NDSU went for it on 4th and 2; they got 1. Safety #25 Michael Tutsie intercepted QB #02 Tyler Riddell. Miller hit WR #12 Braylon Henderson for 12 yards. RB #04 Kobe Johnson broke a 25 yard run. Miller ran it in from 3 yards for another Bison Touchdown. The ETSU offense stalls at their own 39. CB #23 Jayden Price fumbles the punt. ETSU's Bryson Irby recovers. The Bucs move the ball 13 yards on a pass but then stall with penalties and incomplete passes. They did manage a Field Goal. Fourth Quarter Miller is sacked for a 10-yard loss. NDSU is forced to punt. ETSU goes Three-and-Out. The NDSU RBs and QBs run it down the field for another Touchdown. FB #44 Hunter Luepke scored from 11 yards out. Riddell starts throwing the ball for ETSU but he fails to connect on a 4th and 9 at the NDSU 32. RB #28 TK Marshall comes in for NDSU, burns up 22 yards before The Bison take a knee in Victory Formation to win the game. NDSU will be playing JMU in the FCS Semi-Finals Friday night.
