Charles Lindbergh, nicknamed "Slim" by his buddy Harlan Gurney, toured the Corsair bases in the Pacific undercover, as a civilian technical assistant, sanctioned by a friendly Navy officer. This FG-1D (Chance Vought F4U) carries his name.
