was built by Travel Air Mfg. Co. , Wichita, Kansas December 1928. It is the oldest Travel Air 6000 still flying. Delta Air Service (now Delta Airlines) bought three of these aircraft in 1929 and started passenger service between Dallas, Texas andJackson, Mississippi. Obsoleted as an airliner in the early, 1930's by faster all metal aircraft. Served until late 1960's as a back country workhorse in Montana, Idaho and Canada on wheels, skis and floats.
