r10 WB-57 Cambera wing
In 1960, General Dynamics was entrusted with the task of designing and building an even more dramatic high-altitude (75,000 feet) B-57 version, the F. Though 21 of this type were not new aircraft, little of the old is evident. The wing is entirely new, with moor ethan double the area of the original Canberra wing and a new fatigue-resistant multi-spar structure. Most of the fuselage is new, as is the vertical tail. Range 3700 miles.
