Bob and I leave our seats, with Emergency Oxygen Bottles around our necks, for the rear of the plane. We crawl around the cargo box containing our luggage and step down the pool-like steps into the boom operatorÕs nest. From the relative darkness of the airplane, the earth spreads out under us like a cotton ball covered carpet.
