The Blockbuster Blimp between the blades of the P-51D 'Mustang' 44-74404 BC-CH "Dazzling Donna" flown by Robert Odegaard.
The 130-foot blimp, which formerly carried the Virgin Airways logo, has been made over to bear the Blockbuster insignia, said Paul Woessner, president of Virgin Lightships, the company that operates the airship out of Orlando.. The blimp's shell is made of a material that gives it a glow-in-the-dark quality, said Brian Woods, Blockbuster Entertainment Corp.'s vice president for national marketing. 4/30/1993 [sun-sentinel.com]
The definitive version, the P-51D, was powered by the Packard V-1650-7, a license-built version of the two-speed two-stage-supercharged Merlin 66, and was armed with six .50 caliber M2/AN Browning machine guns. -[wiki]
