Warthogs are back at the Phoenix Zoo. Say hello to Astrid and Zoya, both one and a half years old!
Warthogs have enlarged canines that protrude upwards from their mouths, commonly knows as tusks. Astrid and Zoya use their tusks frequently to root around in the mud and dirt. They like to eat hay, pellets and produce.
The pair are settling in nicely to their recently renovated habitat across from the African lion and just up from the
Southern white rhinoceros enclosure.
