T-33 'Shooting Star' flown by Ray Mabrey in USAF Thunderbirds livery. NX12418.
The F-80 first flew as the P-80 in the late forties, but did not see actual combat until the Korean War. The F-80 had the distinction of being Involved in the first all-jet aerial combat. During this first engagement between two jets, the F-80 distinguished itself by shooting down a faster, more maneuverable Mig 15.
