MVSU Delta Devils 7NDSU wins the coin toss and defers. NDSU immediately gets a Delay-Of-Game penalty. 2:36 Then they let Mississippi Vally State (MVSU) #1 Booker Chambers loose for a 55-yard return. More penalties and miss-cues. Thankfully, MVSU is so bad that none of these issues affect the 'Bison'. The Defense gets the first of many 3 and outs. The Offense marches down and scores so fast I wasn't ready to take a photo. QB #12 Easton Stick's 47-yard pass to WR #16 RJ Urzendowski set off an avalanche of scoring in the first quarter.. all in the south end zone. Easton Stick scored on an 8-yard run, RB #10 Lance Dunn scored on 24-yard run, MVSC with a bad snap on a punt for a 17-yard safety, and WR #16 RJ Urzendowski with an 11-yard reception. It was 30 to 0 at the end of the First Quarter. NDSU scored again on the first play of the second Quarter when Fargo South High alumni, RB #28 Ty Brooks scored on a 6-yard run. Ty Brooks scored again with a 36-yard run. A shut-out was ruined when Christopher Fowler completed a pass to Kyle Harris for 47 yards to the NDSU 1.
In the second half, NDSU Running Back #10 Lance Dunn had a 73-yard TD run from the second play. TE #82 Ben Ellefson caught a 3-yard pass from 2nd string quarterback, #7 Cole Davis. RB #24 Demaris Purifoy with a 2-yard run. Bad news, three players including Purifoy left the game with season ending knee injuries.
In the Fourth Quarter our 3rd string quarterback, #14 Van Dellen ran in from 10 yards for the final score. The Bison win 72 to 7.
