Adidas Samoa shoes. They were on sale from their website. I needed a new pair of athletic shoes.. I couldn't resist the classic look. It also reminded me of a pair of 'knock-off' Adidas I had circa 1979. I even wrote a poem and did a drawing about them, "How To Look Old". So when these arrived I also drew them.

How To Look Old
As an officer of the law I am always suspicious of everyone
Once when I went to a movie which was rated R, I noticed a short guy get in
Curious, I stopped him in the lobby and asked for his ID
Just as I thought he was only 4 years old
I told him I’d run him in unless he told me how he managed to look so old
he finally broke down and told me it was his yellow shoes
I asked him where he got them, he said from the mob
Well, I took them and used them myself for a disguise
Once I went to the doctor and I forgot i had them on
The doctor said, “Son it says here you’re twenty-seven,
But that’s impossible you look like you could be forty-five!”
I just smiled and said, “It’s the shoes”

Not sure what they were laced with, but I've been tripping all day.
