This B-25 'Mitchell' is a World War II medium bomber. Gerry Beck flew this aircraft from Rockville TX to Wahpeton ND on 2/3/1984. He never got around to restoring it. It was towed to Fargo last year after Beck died in a flying accident. It is on display at the Fargo Air Museum, in a building that carries his name in tribute.

quot;Their first set down was intentional - at Hearne, Texas, 30 miles from Rockland, the end of their shakedown or maiden flight Wednesday afternoon. The second landing was Thursday at Sherman, Texas, near the Oklahoma border. That was after an oil line broke and they lost about 15 gallons of lubrication in about an hour. Beck said Friday they used about 150 gallons of oil plus about 1,500 gallons of gasoline in a rich mixture on the trip.quot; -Fargo Forum, 2/4/1984 page A1
