I got a sales flyer for an automobile dealership in the mail. A hidden discount could be seen by donning the enclosed cardboard red glasses. 6:45 when the Bison were down 18-points, I came downstairs, and stood behind mom. "I'm sure the Bison are going to win. There is no way they can lose! Some people think I'm crazy. They say I'm looking at the world through Rose Colored Glasses." She laughs.

Summit League Tourament, Semi-final basketball game. NDSU takes on Indiana Purdue-Fort Wayne. NDSU starts off bad. It just gets worse. They're down 15 points at the half. It doesn't improve much in the second half. And when the Bison cut that lead the #1 seed Mastodons come back and rebuilt it. I was ready to turn the game off. Instead I turn the sound off, and check back occasionally. I look up. It's still bad. In the last six minutes. The Bison make another run. This time they don't let up and FW has no answer. They tie, and with less than a minute left the Bison take the lead. Dupree takes the foul free-throw and purposely misses so NDSU can rebound the ball, but he misses the rim. Four seconds, the Mastodons throw the half-court ball. It misses as the buzzer expires. The Bison win 69 to 68. I run downstairs all excited about the game I just watched. Mom says, "It must have been the glasses?"
