Fossa (Cryptopocta ferox) This amazing animal lives a life of mystery in the wilds of Madagascar! an excellent hunter, it preys on small mammals and reptiles, but its main diet is LEMURS! They are excellent climbers and jumpers. The fossa has not been studied as much as other predators due to its elusiveness. In fact, the first photograph in the wild was taken in 1995.
