Beechcraft D17S 'Staggerwing' was built in 1943 under a government contract, and was designated a GB-2. Since October 1983, owned by Arnie and Virginia Widmer of Oakes ND. On display at the ND Centennial Air Show, Saturday 8/19/1989. Photo by Bob Nelson. I tried to rescue this photo in Photoshop as it was a double exposure.
The plane has a range of 1,400 miles. Its maximum speed is 240 miles an hour; maximum cruising speed is 211 miles an hour at 10,000 feet. Initial climb of the aircraft is 1,400 feet per minute.
