A group of old guys at the A-10 Warthog were talking with the pilot. I asked about training with the US Army. The Captain said, ÒAll the time.Ó He was quite proud of his time spent as a forward air controller. ÒYesterday, a solder came up to me and told me how the Warthog saved his life when his platoon got over run by Taliban. The soldier had been shot more than one. The A-10s were called in. The Taliban were killed and helicopters medivacÕd him out.
